I'm READY to dish some FIX dirt... Today we are talking about the 21 day FIX: what it is, how it works, and is it all it's cracked up to be?! This program is flying off the shelf in RECORD numbers, but does it live up to the hype?! This Insanity junkie is about to DISH the dirt on Beachbody's newest program! Will is PASS with flying color or FAIL? We shall see....

Many of you who follow me know I am a die hard Insanity junkie. It's THEE program that started it all for me, My FIRST workout, and it made me feel like a badass! I'm not going to lie it's a pretty extreme program that produces HARDCORE results! I'll admit I got addicted to that "intensity" and I honestly think that program ruined all the other programs for me! I have tried P90X, TurboFIRE, Chalean EXTREME, and T25 (among others!)... and never found another program that I "clicked" with or that hit me like Insanity. There is just something about that program that makes my muscles BURN (in a good way) and it's been hard to get that satisfaction from another programs. I know I may take some heat for this comment but I didn't care for T25... THERE I said it. Don't get me wrong, it's a great program just not for me. This girl has ZERO rhythm which makes it hard to get into any program that has "choreographed" moves. So when I heard they were creating the 21 Day Fix I was a little leary... 

The more details I learned about this program the more optimistic I got, but it wasn't the workouts that caught my attention it was the meal plan. More specifically the portion control containers... Let's face it portion distortion is out of control. We live in a "supersized" world and gradually we as a society have started to eat MORE and more... This nutrition plan is going to CHANGE all of that! It's not not about starving it's about eating the right food in the right portions.

Enough rambling... let's get to the heart of this post! My review of this NEW program...

The Meal Plan: I think this is definitely one of the most important aspects of a workout program. I mean it it's too complex or limited it can be really hard to maintain and follow. The 21 day fix has one of THEE best meal plans I have seen so FAR! Not only do you get to eat of LOT of amazing food, the portion control containers make it easy to dish out just the right amount! <---- It is possible to overeat healthy food too... but this system completely takes the guess work right out of it! Just calculate your calories and select your container plan! It's really THAT easy!

Here is a peek at my meal plan, but let me warn you... to some this might seem boring, or lack variety but I find that planning and prepping like this helps me stay consistent. Most of the time I am cooking separate meals for the family, what can I say they aren't fully converted yet hahah. So this makes it easier for me to have the right food I need on hand and still keep the fam happy too! You may see boring but I see simple, cost effective, and easy prepping. It's not everyones cup of tea... I also created a weekly meal tracker you can use to track your meal plan. The Workouts: All the works are around 30 minutes long, full of low impact modifications, and pack a serious PUNCH! THE VERDICT: This is an AMAZING program that will benefit beginners and fitness junkies... it doesn't matter if you have 100 pounds to lose or 10, this program WILL get you serious results! I am already seeing results come in from my first test groups of 10-18 pounds lost in just 21 days! This isn't a CRAZY extreme program that's unrealistic to do year round... this is a program you can do over and over without missing a step!

  1. HI!! I recently bought your 21 day starter kit. Im SOOO confused on how to set up the binder and all? Is there anyway you can send me pictures of your binder put together? also, I LOVE the week;y meal plan above. Not the editable one, the one on top of it. Is there anyway you can send me one for me to make my own but in that template?

  2. Hi Amanda. Setting up the binder is really a matter of personal choice... is basically putting the pages in an order that works best for you! I usually put my schedule first, then the progress track, and the meal planner/container cheat sheets.

    I don't have the weekly file in a template because I wouldn't be able to have any of the colored boxes on there since the one above is basically set up for specific meals. I am however working on something similar :D
